SPaRKS at a Glance

General Curriculum

The General Curriculum for the SPaRKS2 sessions includes both theory-based and practical concepts in these course offerings. Each course is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and put concepts learned in the course into practice. SPaRKS2 courses are scheduled every other Wednesday, from 9:00 am-11:00 am (with the exception of four (4) sessions), located in the ORC 2nd floor large conference room.

Certificates of Completion:

Upon completion of the required courses/makeup sessions, each participant will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

*Doug Backman is the Lead for the SPaRKS2 Program. To ensure everyone is receiving the same information all communications for the SPaRKS2 Program will come fromDoshie Walker, Training Manager/SPaRKS2 Program coordinator.

Make Up Sessions:

Attend all sessions

Only one (1) class can be missed.

Make-up sessions:

If you miss one classroom session, you can make it up by contacting the lead presenter of that session. Arrangements will be made to either meet with that person and/or other presenter of that session.
Make-up session must be completed prior to the next scheduled SPaRKS2 session.

SPaRKS2 presenter(s)

Responsible for notifying Doshie Walker, Training Manager, with the name of the SPaRKS2 session, participant’s name and the date of completion for the specific class.

Certified Research Administrator (CRA) Study Group

Provides information on CRA Body of Knowledge through informative sessions offered throughout the year. Those eligible to sit for the exam are welcome to attend these sessions to help with test preparation. Please contact Monique Gregory or Doshie Walker if you are interested in attending the ORC Study Group sessions.
